For driven high school/undergraduate students, SkoolMentor is offering a unique 8 week opportunity to conduct remote research in Transitional cancer research with a research scientist affiliated with a startup biotech company. The Mentor has extensive research experience in cancer genetics, epigenetics, personalized healthcare and Transitional research.
The topics of research could be studying frequently altered genes in cancer. Associating the epigenetics changes in critical gene like DNA Repair, Replication, and cell cycle mechanisms. Students will develop an understanding of cancer genetics, get to understand prognosis, gain exposure to patient survival data and predicting cancer drug sensitivities using publicly available databases.
The researcher has served as a mentor for high school and undergraduate students at through many organizations in Canada and India. The mentor can provide excellent opportunities for students to create a poster to be presented at prestigious scientific conferences.
